MEGHAN VASZKO

Coach Meg is originally from Newmarket Ontario where she started swimming competitively with the Newmarket Stingrays. In 2020 she moved to the Niagara region to attend Brock University. She is currently a co-captain of the varsity swim team while working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, a co-op in public administration, and a triple minor in Indigenous studies, labour studies, and classical history. In the 2021/2022 swim season she was an OUA finalist in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and was named the female MVP of the Brock team in 2022/2023. Meg has been coaching for 5 years now, starting with her home swim club working with young swimmers aged 5-11. She then transitioned to special olympics swimming where she coached multiple provincial qualifiers, two Canada Games qualifiers, and one Canada Games swimmer.
