JORDYN BANDSTRA

Coach Jordyn grew up in Uxbridge where she started her competitive swimming career at the age of 10 with the Uxbridge Swim Club. Upon graduating from high school she joined the varsity swim team at Brock University where she studied Medical Sciences. In her years spent swimming for Brock she raced at the provincial championships and Eastern Ontario Championships, primarily in the backstroke and freestyle events. She was an A-finalist at the 2019 and 2020 OUA championships and served as the varsity captain in her final year with the team. Now graduated from Brock and retired from competitive swimming, Jordyn currently studies at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton and trains with EDGE as a triathlete. The experiences and exposure to the different coaching environments at all levels have allowed Jordyn to learn different coaching methods and practices that she hopes to use and pass down to the younger generation of swimmers.
